RIM has gotten back on track from there service downfall and have released new upgraded smart phones

          After the recent technical glitches that millions of Blackberry users were facing RIM gave out free apps to its fellow customers to apologize to the poor service. On Tuesday Research In Motion got a boost on a rare analyst upgrade and after the BlackBerry maker unveiled a pair of upgraded handsets. BlackBerry shares rose as much as $1.10, or 5.9 per cent, to hit $19.70 in Toronto after RIM launched the BlackBerry Bold 9790 and the BlackBerry curve 9380. RIM was able to increase there shares every since the technical glitches that RIM had faced in the last month. RIM also said its cloud-based BBM Music service is being rolled out in the U.K after being launched in the U.S, Canada, and Australia earlier this month. The new BlackBerry bold 9790 now offers a keyboard, expandable memory, and a high-resolution touch display. The new curve 9380 offers a new keyboard as well that is the first to be replaced by a touch display. It also already comes with pre-installed networking apps that include BlackBerry messenger, facebook and twitter. RIM also has new handsets that expand line-up of devices running on its BlackBerry 7 operating systems. This is happening so RIM can move to a more powerful platform based on software.

             RIM shares have been bumped to $26 from $18 and have been doing well. RIM continues to add costumers. At the same time the company has seen share prices collapse due to the significant share loss in the U.S to Android smart phones and Apple device. In order for RIM to be competitive,  they must lower prices on its handsets and enjoy market advantages in near-field technology. RIM has been able to get back on track by improving their service and regained their customer's trust. At the same time RIM has come up with new smart phones and handsets to not let down their customers.

RIM offers BlackBerry customers free apps following there service interruptions!

On Monday October 10, 2011 it was brought to the attention that BlackBerries were facing technical glitches that have affected several markets throughout Europe, Asia and South America. On Wednesday October 12, 2011 the problem had then spread to millions of BlackBerry users around the world. BlackBerry users were reporting that there smart phone’s text, email and web browsing services were down.  The company had said that it was just a “core switch failure” within its network that was compounded by problems with a backup switch. RIM had put a blog post up to tell its BlackBerry customers that it was working to “restore normal service as quickly as possible.” RIM is trying to do the best that they can in solving this issue.

              The recent outrage has affected RIM because the market values are decreasing, customers are upset with the service that they are providing, and they are losing money. In order for RIM to get back on track, they will have to work very hard to stabilize the system. RIM is trying to solve the problem as quickly as possible they also continues to research into new technology in order to meet the satisfaction of the users. RIM continues to apologize to the customers about any inconvenience. RIM`s apology to their fellow customers is they are offering all BlackBerry subscribers a selection of premium apps for free to help make amends for the outage that his users around the world. BlackBerry has offered a total of $100 for each customer. The lists of apps that customers were allowed to download were iSpeech Translator, which converts words spoken or typed into the phone into multiple languages. A variety of popular mobile phone games were also listed, including versions of the Sims, Bejewelled, Texas Hold’em Poker and Bubble Bash. RIM also says its enterprise customers will be offered one month of free technical support. RIM`s co-CEO Mike Lazaridis says, “We have apologized to our customers and will work tirelessly to restore their confidence. We are taking immediate and aggressive steps to help prevent something like this from happening again”. RIM is trying to improve their service by trying not to let down there customers and doing what they can each and every day
